Based on my life story, I wrote a feature screenplay and have created a serialized crime drama with aspects of a procedural. It’s called Presumed Guilty. Think of “Law & Order” meets “This Is Us” meets “True Detective,” entirely from the Criminal Defense Perspective, and NEVER done before, until now.
Presumed Guilty is derived from my personal experiences as an NYPD cop — turned Criminal Defense Investigator — turned defendant arrested by the FBI and charged in federal court in the Southern District of New York.
I worked tirelessly to help FREE from prison those who had been wrongfully charged, convicted and incarcerated for crimes such as murder and rape. I faced 45 years in prison for uncovering the truth and fighting for those who couldn’t fight for themselves.
For over two decades, I conducted investigations for thousands of indigent minority defendants charged with murder and alleged to be high-ranking members from MS13, Latin Kings, Sex-Money-Murder-Bloods, Crips, Salvadorians with Pride, Trinitarios, Dominicans Don’t Play, T.F. Mafia, Hells Angels and Pagans to name a few. Many of my clients were alleged to be bosses, soldiers and captains in the five families of the Italian Mafia.
